Friday: In Remembrance of the Passion, Morning Prayer

✠ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Verse: We preach Christ crucified. (1 Corinthians 1:23)

Lord Jesus Christ, crucified for our salvation, I thank You for the precious Blood shed for me and for the whole world.

On this Friday keep me mindful of Your Passion. Grant me repentance for my sins, patience in trial, and love for the poor, the afflicted, and those who carry heavy burdens.

May I unite the crosses of this day to Your holy Cross and learn from You meekness, courage, and mercy.

Holy Mary, standing by the Cross, keep us faithful in suffering and steadfast in hope.

Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be…

May the Lord bless us, preserve us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.

Verse: Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit. (Luke 23:46)

Crucified Lord, as this day ends I place myself beneath Your Cross and within Your wounded Heart.

Forgive my sins, heal my faults, and teach me to forgive those who have wronged me. Receive also the souls of the faithful departed, especially those for whom no one now prays.

May the Precious Blood of Jesus be my refuge and my hope, now and at the hour of my death.

Holy Mary, standing by the Cross, keep us faithful in suffering and steadfast in hope.
