Monday: For Faithfulness in Ordinary Duties, Morning Prayer

✠ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Verse: Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men. (Colossians 3:23)

Lord God, You have given me a new day in which to serve You. Preserve me from sin, selfishness, and discouragement.

Bless the work of this day: my home, my labour, my studies, my errands, and all the duties that may seem small in the sight of the world but are known to You.

Make me diligent, honest, and kind. Keep me faithful in ordinary things, and let nothing separate me from Your love.

Verse: I will both lie down and sleep in peace; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. (Psalm 4:8)

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the mercies of this day. Receive my work, my prayers, my failures, and my desires to serve You more faithfully.

Where I have sinned, forgive me. Where I have done good, purify it. Where I am tired or troubled, give me peace.

As night draws in, grant restful sleep to me and to all whom I love, and keep us safe beneath Your providence.
