Tuesday: For Growth in Holiness, Morning Prayer

✠ In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Verse: Be holy in all your conduct. (1 Peter 1:15)

Lord Jesus Christ, You call us to holiness and to the obedience of faith. Draw me closer to You this day in mind, heart, and will.

Purify my intentions. Strengthen me against temptation. Give me charity in speech, purity in thought, and perseverance in prayer.

Bless all who are enquiring after the faith, all who are preparing for Baptism or reception, and all who teach the faith in our parishes.

St John Bosco, pray for our children, our young people, and all who seek to know the faith more deeply.

May the Lord bless us, preserve us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life. Amen.

Merciful Lord, I place before You the sins and shortcomings of this day. Wash me in Your mercy and renew within me the grace of conversion.

Give me true sorrow for sin, deeper trust in Your forgiveness, and a firmer purpose of amendment. Let me never grow careless about the state of my soul.

Bless all who are burdened in conscience, all who fear confession, and all who long for peace with You.
