FROM THE PARISH PRIEST
With the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, the Christmas season draws to its close and the Church begins Ordinary Time. Ordinary Time is not a lesser season. It is the time in which the mystery we have celebrated is lived out quietly and faithfully in daily life. Christ, revealed at Christmas and Epiphany, now walks with us in the ordinary rhythms of work, family, prayer, and perseverance. As we begin this new season, I encourage you simply to remain close to the Lord through Sunday Mass, personal prayer, and charity in ordinary things. It is in faithfulness in the ordinary that holiness grows. Please keep one another in your prayers, and be assured of mine.
