Staying Faithful Over Time
Opening Prayer
Lord God,
You are faithful and unchanging.
Help us remain faithful to You.
Strengthen us when we grow tired
and guide us when we struggle.

Part One
Faith Is Not a Moment
Some things are easy at the beginning.
A new habit.
A new school year.
A new resolution.
But after some time,
enthusiasm can fade.
The Christian life is not only about beginnings.
It is about perseverance.
The Bible says:
“He that shall persevere unto the end,
he shall be saved.”
Perseverance means continuing faithfully
even when it feels ordinary
or difficult.
It means staying close to God
not only in moments of joy
but also in routine.

The saints were not faithful only in great moments.
They were faithful in daily duties.
God often works quietly.
He shapes character slowly.
When we fall,
perseverance means rising again.
When we feel discouraged,
it means trusting that grace is still at work.
Hope supports perseverance.
Grace strengthens it.
Habit stabilises it.

Model consistency more than intensity.
Children learn perseverance by observing steady practice.
Part Three
Trusting God’s Faithfulness
Perseverance is not only our effort.
It is cooperation with God’s faithfulness.
The Bible says:
“He who hath begun a good work in you
will perfect it.”
God does not abandon what He begins.
He works patiently in us.
We are called to remain:

Now say quietly:
“Lord, help me remain faithful.”
