Grow in Faith – Ages 13-18

Grow in Faith: Youth

Living the Faith (13–18)

As children grow into adolescence, faith must also mature.

Grow in Faith: Youth is our parish formation series for young people aged 13–18. It is designed to support teenagers in taking personal responsibility for their Catholic faith — not as something inherited only from parents, but as a conviction freely embraced.

These themes are written to be read independently, though parents are encouraged to engage in conversation if helpful. The aim is to deepen understanding, strengthen moral clarity, and form steady commitment to Christ and His Church.

Each theme:

  • Is rooted in Sacred Scripture and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
  • Addresses the intellectual and moral questions young people face.
  • Encourages prayer, reflection and responsible decision-making.
  • Supports faithful participation in Mass and the sacraments.

Adolescence is a time of growing independence. It is also a time when faith must become personal. The Church does not expect blind acceptance, but thoughtful assent grounded in truth. This series is offered to help young people understand what they believe, why they believe it, and how to live it with courage.

This is not a course to complete quickly. It is a body of formation to return to throughout the teenage years. Used steadily, it supports the transition from childhood faith to mature Christian discipleship.

Our parish stands alongside young people in this responsibility. Faith is not merely taught; it is lived — in prayer, in virtue, in sacramental life, and in daily choices.

May the Lord strengthen you as you grow in wisdom, conviction, and fidelity.
