Intercessions – 16 November 2025

Priest: Brothers and sisters, as we near the end of the Church’s year,
the Lord calls us to stand firm in faith and to endure to the end.
Trusting in His promise that not a hair of our heads will be lost,
we bring our prayers before Him.

For the Church throughout the world
That in times of trial and confusion she may stand firm on the Rock of Christ,
preaching the Gospel with courage and living it with love.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For our Holy Father Pope Leo, and all bishops and priests
that they may guide God’s people with wisdom and patience,
reminding us that the Kingdom of God is not built on fear,
but on faith, hope, and charity.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For all who are troubled or afraid in these uncertain times
that they may discover peace in the knowledge that God holds history — and every heart — in His hands.
May our endurance bear witness to His saving power.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For our parish community
that we may be faithful witnesses of hope,
persevering in prayer, generous in charity,
and steadfast in living the faith day by day.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For those who have lost their jobs, their homes, or their sense of direction
that the Lord may strengthen their hearts and raise up helpers in their need.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For the sick, the weary, and the anxious
that the healing light of Christ, the Sun of Righteousness,
may rise upon them with peace and renewal.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For those who have died
especially our relatives, friends, and parishioners who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith —
that they may stand radiant before the face of Christ in the joy of His eternal Kingdom.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

Let us pause for a moment of silent prayer,
entrusting to God the intentions we hold in our hearts,
and praying for the grace to persevere in faith until the end.

(Pause in silence)

Together we honour Mary, Our Lady of Hope, who endured beneath the Cross:
Hail Mary, full of grace…

Priest: God our Father, You are faithful through every age and steadfast in every storm.
Hear the prayers of Your people, and give us courage to stand firm in faith,
so that when Your Son returns in glory He may find us watchful in prayer and rich in good works.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
