Intercessions – All Saints – 2 November 2025

Priest:
Brothers and sisters,
on this feast of All Saints we rejoice in the countless men and women
who have followed Christ faithfully and now see God face to face.
With confidence in the communion of saints, we pray for the Church and for the world.

For the Church on earth
That she may be strengthened by the prayers of all the saints,
and shine as a sign of holiness and mercy in our time.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For our Holy Father the Pope, our bishop, and all who lead God’s people
That they may guide the faithful with wisdom and courage,
helping us to seek first the Kingdom of Heaven.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For all Christian people
That we may remember our calling to be saints,
and live the Beatitudes with joy —
poor in spirit, pure of heart, merciful, and peacemakers.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For our parish family
That through the intercession of Mary, Queen of All Saints,
and our own patron saints,
we may grow in faith, hope, and love,
and one day share together in the joy of heaven.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For all who suffer or mourn today
That they may find comfort in knowing
that the saints once shared their trials on earth
and now pray for them in heaven.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

For the faithful departed
For those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith,
that they may be cleansed of all sin
and welcomed among the saints in light.
Lord, hear us. Response: Lord, graciously hear us.

Let us now keep a moment of silent prayer,
asking God to make us holy in our own time and place.
(Pause in silence)

Together we honour Mary, Queen of All Saints, as we say:
Hail Mary, full of grace…

Priest:
God of all holiness, You have called us to share in the company of the saints.
Hear our prayers, and help us to walk faithfully in the way of Christ,
until we come to the joy You have prepared for those who love You.
Through the same Christ our Lord.
Amen.
