Intercessions – Easter Sunday

Priest:
Brothers and sisters, on this day of the Lord’s Resurrection, when Christ has conquered sin and death, let us place our prayers before the Father with confidence and joy.

For the Church throughout the world:
that she may proclaim with clarity and courage that Christ is risen, calling all people from darkness into the light of new life.
Lord, hear us.

For the nations of the world and those who govern them:
that the victory of Christ may inspire them to seek peace, reject violence, and work for justice and the dignity of every human person.
Lord, hear us.

For those who suffer through war, conflict, and fear:
that the risen Lord may bring them protection, hope, and a just and lasting peace.
Lord, hear us.

For those who struggle with doubt, sin, or discouragement:
that they may encounter the risen Christ, receive His mercy, and begin again in faith and hope.
Lord, hear us.

For the sick, the suffering, and the faithful departed:
that Christ, who has conquered death, may bring healing to the living and raise the dead to eternal life.
Lord, hear us.

Let us now pause and offer in silence the prayers we hold in our hearts.
(silent prayer)

Let us entrust these prayers to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

All:
Hail Mary…

Priest:
Father of life,
you have raised your Son from the dead
and opened for us the way to eternal life.
Hear the prayers we make in faith,
and keep us always in the joy of the Resurrection.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
