Prayers of the Faithful — Epiphany
Priest: Brothers and sisters, on this feast when Christ is revealed to the nations,
let us bring our prayers before the Father, who calls all people into the light of His Son.
That the Church may faithfully proclaim Christ to all nations,
and by her worship, teaching, and witness
draw many into the light of the Gospel.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
That the light of Christ may shine in places of conflict, fear, and division,
guiding nations and leaders toward justice, peace, and truth.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
For those who search for meaning, truth, and hope,
especially those who feel far from faith:
that, like the Magi, they may be guided by the light God gives them
and come to know Christ.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
That we may welcome Christ with reverence and faith,
offer Him the gift of our lives,
and allow our encounter with Him to change the way we live.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
For those who have died,
especially those of our parish and families:
that they may share fully in the light and glory of Christ for ever.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Let us now pause in silence
and place our own intentions before the Lord,
who has revealed Himself to the world.
(silence)
We ask the prayers of Mary,
who offered her Son to the nations:
Hail Mary…
Priest:
Father of light and mercy,
You revealed Your Son to the nations
as the light of the world.
Hear the prayers we have offered in faith
and grant them according to Your will.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
