Priest: As we welcome Christ,
the Light to enlighten the nations,
and prepare to ask for healing
through the intercession of Saint Blaise,
let us bring our prayers before God with faith and trust.

For the Church throughout the world:
that she may faithfully bear the light of Christ
and continue His mission of healing and salvation
for all people.
Lord, hear us.

For the nations of the world:
that the light of Christ
may overcome fear, violence, and division,
and lead all peoples into peace.
Lord, hear us.

For all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit,
especially those with illness or difficulty in breathing or speaking:
that through the mercy of Christ
and the intercession of Saint Blaise
they may receive healing, strength, and comfort.
Lord, hear us.

For families, children, and all entrusted to our care:
that, like Mary and Joseph,
they may be protected and guided
in faith, hope, and love.
Lord, hear us.

For our faithful departed:
that all who have died in Christ
may come to share in the light of eternal life.
Lord, hear us.

Let us now pause and offer in silence
the prayers we hold in our hearts.

to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
