Intercessions – Palm Sunday

Priest: Brothers and sisters, as Christ enters His Passion and goes forward in obedience to the Cross, let us place our prayers before the Father with trust and humility.

For the Church throughout the world:
that she may remain faithful to Christ in His suffering, proclaiming the truth of the Cross and leading all people to the hope of the Resurrection.
Lord, hear us.

For the nations of the world and those who govern them:
that they may seek justice and peace, and work to bring an end to war and violence, protecting all who suffer, especially the innocent.
Lord, hear us.

For those who suffer through war, conflict, and displacement:
that the Lord who entered Jerusalem in humility may bring them protection, comfort, and a just and lasting peace.
Lord, hear us.

For those who struggle to remain faithful, who find it difficult to follow Christ when it costs:
that they may be strengthened to remain with Him through His Passion and share in His victory.
Lord, hear us.

For the sick, the suffering, and the faithful departed:
that Christ, who gave His life for us, may bring healing to the living and eternal rest to those who have died.
Lord, hear us.

Let us now pause and offer in silence the prayers we hold in our hearts.
(silent prayer)

Let us entrust these prayers to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

All:
Hail Mary…

Priest:
Father of mercy,
you sent your Son to suffer and die for our salvation.
Hear the prayers we make in faith,
and lead us through His Passion
to the joy of His Resurrection.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
