Intercessions – Second Sunday of Ordinary Time Year A

Brothers and sisters,
as we stand before the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,
let us bring our prayers to the Father with trust and humility.

For the Church throughout the world:
that she may always point clearly to Christ,
the true Lamb and only Saviour,
and faithfully lead all people to salvation through word, sacrament, and truth.
Lord, hear us.

For all Christians:
that hearts may be drawn not toward division or compromise,
but toward deeper conversion to Christ,
so that all may be gathered into the unity He desires under one Shepherd.
Lord, hear us.

For the world burdened by sin, conflict, and confusion:
that the Lamb who was slain may bring healing, forgiveness, and peace
to all who seek mercy and truth.
Lord, hear us.

For this parish community:
that Ordinary Time may be a season of real discipleship,
deepening love for the Eucharist,
faithful participation in the Mass,
and lives shaped by obedience to Christ.
Lord, hear us.

For ourselves:
that we may allow the Lamb of God to take away our sins,
bringing them honestly to Confession,
and learning day by day to live as a holy people redeemed by His blood.
Lord, hear us.

Let us offer our prayers in silence to the Lord.

Let us now entrust these prayers,
and all that we hold in our hearts,
to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Hail Mary…

Heavenly Father,
you sent your Son as the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.
Hear the prayers we make in faith,
and grant them according to your will,
through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
