Priest: Brothers and sisters, as we honour the Holy Family of Nazareth, let us place our prayers before God our Father, who chose to send His Son into a human family so that every home might be blessed.
That the Church may always uphold the dignity of marriage and family life, teach the faith with patience and truth, and support families as they seek to live faithfully in a difficult world.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
For families in every situation —
those living in peace,
those under strain,
those affected by division or loss —
that God may strengthen them with love, forgiveness, and hope. Lord, hear us.
That parents may be given wisdom, patience, and courage
as they guide their children in faith,
and trust that God is at work even in the struggles of daily life.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
That children may grow in kindness and respect,
and that young people may discover their dignity and vocation
within the loving care of family and Church.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
For those who are lonely, estranged, widowed, or separated from their families:
that the Holy Family may be close to them
and that the Church may be a true home of welcome and belonging.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
That Christ, who lived within a human family,
may comfort all who suffer,
give peace to the dying,
and uphold those who care for them with love.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
For all who have died,
especially members of our own families:
that the Lord may forgive their sins
and bring them into the joy of His eternal household.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
Let us offer our silent intentions to the Lord
We ask the prayers of Mary,
who treasured her family life with faith and trust:
Hail Mary…
Priest: Father of love, You entrusted Your Son to the care of Mary and Joseph.
Hear the prayers we have offered and bless our families with faith, perseverance, and peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
