Children’s Track – Just Teach Sheet
January Week 3 (2026)
Theme: Baptism and New Life in Christ
Focus: Belonging to the Church – God’s Family
Audience: Children (Ages 6–10) with parent or guardian

Weekly Goal
To help the child understand that God does not save us alone.
Through Baptism, we become part of God’s family, the Church.
This week teaches belonging, care for one another, and why the Church matters.

What You’ll Need
This sheet
A Bible or children’s Bible
Paper and crayons
A quiet place

Opening Prayer (Daily)
Loving God,
thank You for giving me a family in the Church.
Help me learn how to belong,
to love others,
and to grow closer to You together.
Amen.

Day 1 – God Has a Family

Teaching (for parents to say aloud)
God does not want anyone to be alone.
He gathers people together into one family called the Church.

The Church is not just a building.
It is God’s people.

1 Corinthians 12:27
“You are the Body of Christ.”

Mini reflection
God brings people together because we need one another.

Questions to ask the child
What makes a family a family?
Why is it good not to be alone?

Practice
Say together:
“Thank You, God, for my Church family.”

Day 2 – Baptism Brings Us into God’s Family

Teaching
When someone is baptised, they become part of the Church.
That means they belong to God and to His people.

Galatians 3:26–27
“You are all children of God through faith.”

Baptism is like being welcomed into a family forever.

Mini reflection
Belonging means being loved and cared for.

Questions
How do families welcome new members?
How does the Church welcome people?

Practice
Draw a picture of a family and write:
“I belong to God’s family.”

Day 3 – Everyone Has a Place

Teaching
In God’s family, everyone matters.
Young and old, strong and weak — all belong.

Romans 12:5
“We are one body in Christ.”

God gives everyone a place and a purpose.

Mini reflection
God made each person important.

Questions
What are some different people in our church?
Why does God want everyone?

Practice
Thank God for one person in your parish today.

Day 4 – We Help One Another

Teaching
Families help one another.
The Church does the same.

When someone is sad, others help.
When someone is happy, others rejoice.

Galatians 6:2
“Carry each other’s burdens.”

Mini reflection
Love grows when we help one another.

Questions
How can we help someone this week?
Who might need kindness?

Practice
Choose one small act of kindness to do together.

Day 5 – Gathering with God’s Family

Teaching
God’s family gathers to pray, listen, and thank Him.
This happens especially when the Church gathers to worship.

Matthew 18:20
“Where two or three are gathered in My name, I am there.”

Being together helps our faith grow.

Mini reflection
God is close when His people pray together.

Questions
Why is it good to gather with others?
How does praying together help us?

Practice
Say a short prayer together for your parish.
