Teen Track – Just Teach Sheet
January Week 4 (2026)
Theme: Baptism and New Life in Christ
Focus: Living the Baptised Life
Audience: Teens (Ages 12–16)
Weekly Goal
To help teens understand that Baptism is not only a past event, but a present reality that shapes daily choices, identity, and direction.
This week connects baptismal identity to real life — without pretending life is easy.
What You’ll Need
This sheet
A Bible
A pen and notebook
A quiet space
Opening Prayer (Daily)
Lord Jesus,
You have called me Your own.
Help me live as someone who belongs to You,
even when it’s hard.
Amen.
Day 1 – Baptism Is a New Identity
Teaching
Baptism doesn’t just say something about God —
it says something about you.
You are no longer defined only by:
what others think
your mistakes
your popularity
your fears
You belong to Christ.
Galatians 2:20
“It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
Reflection
Baptism changes who you are, even when you don’t feel it.
Questions
What usually shapes how people your age see themselves?
What does it mean to belong to Christ instead?
Practice
Write one sentence:
“Because I belong to Christ, I want to…”
Day 2 – Living Differently Without Being Perfect
Teaching
Being baptised does not mean being perfect.
It means having a direction.
You will still struggle.
You will still mess up.
But your life now has a centre.
Romans 6:11
“Consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection
God does not expect perfection — He offers grace.
Questions
Why do people give up when they fail?
How is having direction different from being flawless?
Practice
Ask quietly:
“Lord, help me keep going.”
Day 3 – Freedom and Responsibility
Teaching
Baptism gives freedom — not freedom to do anything,
but freedom to choose what leads to life.
Sin promises freedom but often leads to emptiness.
God’s way leads to life, even when it’s demanding.
John 8:36
“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Reflection
Real freedom is choosing what helps you become who you’re meant to be.
Questions
What choices actually make people freer?
What choices slowly trap people instead?
Practice
Identify one choice this week where you want God’s help.
Day 4 – God Stays With Us in the Struggle
Teaching
God does not abandon baptised people when they struggle.
He stays close, even when we drift.
1 Corinthians 10:13
“God is faithful… He will provide a way out.”
Reflection
God’s faithfulness is stronger than your weakness.
Questions
Why do people think God leaves when they fail?
How does knowing God stays change things?
Practice
Say slowly:
“God, stay close to me.”
Day 5 – Living as Someone Who Belongs
Teaching
Living your Baptism doesn’t mean being loud about faith.
It means letting your belonging shape your choices, relationships, and hopes.
Colossians 3:17
“Whatever you do… do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Reflection
Your faith is not a performance — it’s a relationship.
Questions
Where is it hardest to live your faith honestly?
Where is it easiest?
Practice
Choose one quiet way to live your Baptism this weekend.
