FROM THE PARISH PRIEST
Laetare Sunday invites us to rejoice in the midst of Lent, reminding us that the penitential journey is leading us towards the joy of Easter. Even as we continue in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, the Church encourages us not to lose sight of the hope that sustains us. The rose vestments and lighter tone of the liturgy offer a glimpse of the joy of the Resurrection already drawing near. Lent is not meant to discourage us, but to purify our hearts so that we may receive Christ more fully. With renewed confidence in God’s mercy, we continue our journey, knowing that the Cross leads to new life.
