MONDAY 16 FEBRUARY – Faith That Does Not Demand Proof
Trusting God
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
help us trust You
even when we do not understand.
Amen.
Teaching (read aloud)
Some people asked Jesus to prove who He was.
But they did not really want to trust Him.
God wants us to believe
because we love Him,
not because He has to show us signs.
Faith means trusting God
even when things are hard
or unclear.
Scripture
“Trust in the Lord.” (Proverbs 3:5)
Ask your child
When is it hard to trust?
Who helps you trust God?
Little Practice
Say today:
“Jesus, I trust You.”
Closing Prayer
Jesus,
help me trust You
every day.
Amen.
TUESDAY 17 FEBRUARY – The Seven Holy Founders
Staying Faithful Together
Opening Prayer
God our Father,
thank You for our friends
and for people who help us love You.
Amen.
Teaching
Seven men loved Jesus very much.
They left their old lives
and prayed and worked together.
They trusted God
and helped each other to be holy.
God likes when people
help each other to love Him.
Scripture
“Help one another.” (Galatians 6:2)
Ask your child
Who helps you do good?
Who can you help today?

Do one helpful thing for someone today.

Thank You, God,
for friends who help us love You.
Amen.
WEDNESDAY 18 FEBRUARY – Ash Wednesday
Coming Back to God

God our Father,
we are sorry for our sins.
Help us come back to You.
Amen.
Teaching
Today we get ashes on our heads.
They remind us that we need God
and that we need to say sorry.
Lent is a special time
to pray more,
to be kinder,
and to give up selfish things.
God is happy when we come back to Him.
Scripture
“Come back to me with all your heart.” (Joel 2:12)
Ask your child
What can you do in Lent to love God more?
Who can you be kinder to?

Say sorry to God for one thing today
and try again.
Closing Prayer
God,
help me love You more
during Lent.
Amen.

Choosing What Is Good
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
help us choose
what is right.
Amen.
Teaching
God tells us we can choose:
to do good
or to do wrong.
Jesus says that following Him
sometimes means giving up things we want.
Choosing good
helps our hearts grow stronger.
Scripture
“Choose life.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Ask your child
What is one good choice you can make today?
Who helps you choose what is right?
Little Practice
Choose one kind or honest thing to do today.
Closing Prayer
Jesus,
help me choose
what is good.
Amen.
FRIDAY 20 FEBRUARY – Friday after Ash Wednesday
Fasting with Love
Opening Prayer
God our Father,
teach us to share
and to care for others.

Teaching
God does not want us
to give things up
just to show off.
He wants us to be kinder,
to share,
and to help people in need.
When we give something up,
we can use it to help others.
Scripture
“Share your bread with the hungry.” (Isaiah 58:7)
Ask your child
Who needs help today?
What can you share?
Little Practice
Do one kind thing for someone today.
Closing Prayer
God,
help me love others
like You do.
Amen.

Following Jesus
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
help us follow You
every day.
Amen.
Teaching
Jesus asked a man named Levi
to follow Him.
Levi got up
and went with Jesus straight away.
Following Jesus means
listening to Him
and trying to live like Him.
Scripture
“Follow me.” (Luke 5:27)
Ask your child
How can you follow Jesus today?
What would Jesus like you to do?
Little Practice
Try to do one thing today

help us love God
more than anything else.

saying “no” to bad things
and “yes” to God.
Scripture
“Jesus trusted God.” (Matthew 4:1–11)
Ask your child
What is one thing you can say “yes” to for God?
What can you say “no” to?
Little Practice
Say today:
“Jesus, help me choose God.”
Closing Prayer
Jesus,
help me love God
every day.
Amen.
