MONDAY 9 FEBRUARY – The God Who Dwells Among His People
God Is Near
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
thank You for loving us
and staying close to us.
Amen.
Teaching (read aloud)
God told His people to build a special place called the Temple.
This was where they met God.
But in the Gospel,
Jesus goes out to the people.
They come to Him and He heals them.
This shows us something important:
God does not stay far away.
He comes close to us.
Jesus is God with us.
Scripture
“God is with us.” (Matthew 1:23)
Ask your child
Where do we meet God?
How do we know Jesus is close to us?
Little Practice
Say together:
“Jesus, thank You for staying with me.”
Closing Prayer
Jesus,
help me remember
that You are always near.
Amen.
TUESDAY 10 FEBRUARY – Saint Scholastica
Praying with Love
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
teach us how to pray
with love.
Amen.
Teaching
Saint Scholastica loved God very much.
She spent her life praying and trusting Him.
One day she asked God for help in prayer,
and God listened to her
because her heart was full of love.
Prayer is not about bossing God.
It is about loving Him
and trusting Him.
Scripture
“Ask and you will receive.” (Matthew 7:7)
Ask your child
When do you talk to God?
What do you like to say to Him?
Little Practice
Say one thing to God today that you are thankful for.
Closing Prayer
Thank You, God,
for listening to our prayers.
Amen.
WEDNESDAY 11 FEBRUARY – Our Lady of Lourdes
Jesus Heals Our Hearts
Opening Prayer
Mary,
help us come to Jesus.
Amen.
Teaching
Many people go to Lourdes because they are sick or sad.
Mary reminds them to pray and trust God.
Jesus teaches us that sickness is not only in our bodies.
Sometimes our hearts need healing too.
When we pray,
Jesus helps us become kinder,
braver,
and more loving.
Scripture
“Jesus made them well.” (Mark 6:56)
Ask your child
What makes your heart feel better?
Who helps you when you are sad?
Little Practice

please heal our hearts
and help us trust You.
Amen.

Loving God with Our Whole Heart

God our Father,
help us love You
with our whole heart.

King Solomon loved God,
but later he started loving other things more.
In the Gospel,
a woman trusted Jesus with her whole heart
and He helped her.
God wants us to love Him
more than anything else.
Scripture
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart.” (Mark 12:30)
Ask your child
What do you love most?
How can you show love to God?
Little Practice

Jesus brings people back together.
He makes broken things better.
Scripture

Ask your child
What helps us listen better?
What kind words can we say today?
Little Practice
Try to listen carefully to someone today
and answer kindly.
Closing Prayer
Jesus,
help us hear You
and love others.
Amen.
SATURDAY 14 FEBRUARY – Saints Cyril and Methodius
Sharing Jesus with Everyone
Opening Prayer
Jesus,
help us tell others
about Your love.
Amen.

Saints Cyril and Methodius loved Jesus.
They taught people in their own language
so everyone could understand.
God wants everyone to know Him,
not just a few people.
We can share Jesus
by being kind
and telling others about Him.

Ask your child
Who can we be kind to today?

what is good.

but about what is in our hearts.
God lets us choose.
We can choose good
or choose wrong.
Jesus helps us choose what is right
when we listen to Him.
Scripture
“Choose life.” (Sirach 15:17)
Ask your child
What is one good choice you can make today?
Who helps you choose what is right?
Little Practice
Choose one kind or honest thing to do today.

Jesus,
help us love what is good
and choose it every day.
Amen.
