Priest: Brothers and sisters, trusting in the promise of Christ who does not leave His people orphaned, let us bring our prayers before the Father.
Reader: For the Church throughout the world:
that she may always proclaim the presence of Christ and faithfully hand on the gift of the Holy Spirit through her sacramental life.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For our Holy Father, our bishops, and all who exercise authority in the Church:
that they may be guided by the Holy Spirit in truth and unity, building up the people of God in faith and hope.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For those who feel alone, abandoned, or without direction:
that they may come to know the nearness of Christ, who never leaves His people without His presence and grace.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For those who suffer for doing what is right:
that they may be strengthened by the hope that comes from Christ and remain steadfast in faith and charity.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For our parish community:
that we may live as people in whom Christ dwells, showing forth His presence through lives of obedience, charity, and hope.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For the faithful departed:
that Christ, who prepares a place for His people, may bring them into the fullness of life in His presence.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: Let us now pause and offer in silence the prayers we hold in our hearts.
(silent prayer)
Reader: Let us entrust these prayers to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
All: Hail Mary…
Priest:
Father of mercy,
you have given us your Son
and the gift of the Holy Spirit
to remain with us always.
Hear the prayers we make in faith,
and keep us steadfast in your love,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
