Intercessions for Corpus Christi, 7th June

Priest: On this great feast of Corpus Christi, as we celebrate the gift of the Body and Blood of Christ, let us bring our prayers before the Lord.

For the Church throughout the world:
that love for the Holy Eucharist may grow stronger in every parish and every heart.
Lord, hear us.

For our Holy Father, Pope Leo, and for all bishops and priests:
that they may lead God’s people with holiness, courage, and love for the Mass.
Lord, hear us.

For the children making their First Holy Communion:
that they may always remain close to Jesus in the Eucharist and grow in faith, joy, and holiness throughout their lives.
Lord, hear us.

For parents and families:
that homes may become places of prayer, forgiveness, and love, where children are taught to know Christ.
Lord, hear us.

For those who no longer come to Mass, or who feel far from God:
that the Lord may draw them back to Himself through His mercy and love.
Lord, hear us.

For the sick, the lonely, and the dying:
that Christ, the Bread of Life, may strengthen and comfort them.
Lord, hear us.

For the faithful departed:
that having shared in the Eucharist on earth, they may now share forever in the heavenly banquet.
Lord, hear us.

For the prayers we hold in the silence of our hearts:
that the Lord may hear the needs we bring before Him with faith and trust.
Let us pray quietly for a moment.

Let us ask Our Lady, who carried the Body of Christ within her, to pray for us and for our First Holy Communion children.
