Reader: For Pope Leo, Bishop Patrick, priests, deacons, and all who shepherd God’s people:
that they may reflect the compassion, gentleness, and courage of the Good Shepherd.

Reader: For our world, wounded by division, violence, and indifference:
that hearts may be opened to the love of Christ, bringing reconciliation, justice, and peace.

Reader: For those who feel far from God, burdened by sin, or discouraged in faith:
that they may discover in the Sacred Heart of Jesus a refuge of mercy, forgiveness, and hope.

that the love of the Sacred Heart may strengthen marriages, deepen family life, and guide parents in handing on the faith to their children.

Reader: For the sick, the lonely, the housebound, and all who suffer in body, mind, or spirit:
that the compassionate Heart of Christ may comfort them and grant them strength.
