Priest:
Brothers and sisters, trusting in the generosity of God, who gives us every grace we need, let us bring before Him the needs of the Church and of the world.
Reader:
For the Church: that the Pope, our Bishop, priests, deacons and all the faithful may use the gifts entrusted to them with courage and fidelity, bearing abundant fruit for the Kingdom of God.
Lord, hear us.
For the nations of the world: that those entrusted with authority may govern wisely, protect the vulnerable, seek justice and use their responsibilities for the good of all.
Lord, hear us.
For our parish: that we may not bury the gifts God has given us, but use our faith, time, abilities and opportunities generously in His service and for the good of our neighbour.
Lord, hear us.
For the sick, the lonely, the anxious and all who carry heavy burdens: that they may know the closeness of God and find strength, consolation and hope in His grace.
Lord, hear us.
For those who have died: that, having completed their earthly service, they may be purified from every sin and hear the Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; come and share your Master’s happiness.”
Lord, hear us.
In a moment of silence, we bring before God the intentions we carry in our hearts.
Silence.
Let us ask the prayers of Our Blessed Lady, that she may help us to remain faithful and ready for the coming of her Son, as we say together:
Hail Mary…
Priest:
Generous and faithful God,
You have entrusted us with the gifts of life and grace.
Help us to use them well, to remain watchful in faith, and to bear fruit in love,
so that one day we may enter the joy of Your Kingdom. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
