Priest: Brothers and sisters, nourished by God’s Word and trusting in His loving providence, let us bring our prayers before our heavenly Father.
Reader: For the Church throughout the world: that she may faithfully proclaim Christ, the true Bread of Life, leading all people to seek the treasures of Heaven before the passing things of earth.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For Pope Leo, Bishop Patrick, and all who shepherd God’s people: that they may preach the Gospel with wisdom and courage, feeding the flock with the truth of Christ and the grace of the sacraments.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For those who govern the nations: that they may work to relieve hunger, poverty and injustice, while never forgetting the dignity of every human person, created in the image of God.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For those who are burdened by anxiety, loneliness, illness, or financial hardship: that the Lord who fed the hungry multitude may provide for their needs, strengthen their faith, and surround them with loving support.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For our parish family: that we may hunger above all for holiness, remain faithful to Sunday Mass and the Holy Eucharist, and always seek first the Kingdom of God.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For our children and young people: that amidst the many voices of the world, they may hear the voice of Christ, discover the joy of following Him, and grow in faith, hope and love.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: For those who have died, especially our relatives, friends, benefactors, and those for whom we have promised to pray: that having been nourished by Christ in this life, they may now share in the eternal banquet of Heaven.
Lord, hear us.
Reader: Let us now offer our own prayers in the silence of our hearts. (Pause.)
Reader: Let us ask the prayers of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.
All: Hail Mary…
Priest: Heavenly Father, you alone satisfy the deepest hunger of the human heart. Hear the prayers we have offered with faith, and grant them according to your holy will. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.
