Priest: Brothers and sisters, called to live in hope and to be ready for the coming of Christ, let us bring our prayers before God our Father.
Reader:
For the holy Catholic Church, for the Pope, our Bishop, and all bishops, priests and deacons: that they may faithfully proclaim the resurrection of the dead and lead God’s people towards the coming of Christ.
Lord, hear us.
For the nations of the world and all who hold public office: that they may govern with wisdom, protect human dignity, and work for peace among peoples.
Lord, hear us.
For our parish community: that we may live each day in friendship with Christ, seek wisdom, make good use of the sacraments, and remain ready to meet the Lord.
Lord, hear us.
For those who are sick, lonely, anxious, grieving or near death: that they may know the consolation of Christ and the hope of eternal life.
Lord, hear us.
For our deceased relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all the faithful departed: that the dead in Christ may be raised to share in the joy of His Kingdom.
Lord, hear us.
In a moment of silence, we bring before God the intentions we carry in our hearts.
Silence.
Let us ask the prayers of Our Blessed Lady as we say together:
Hail Mary…
Priest:
Almighty and eternal God,
You call us to watch for the coming of Your Son
and promise resurrection to those who belong to Him.
Hear the prayers we make before You,
keep us faithful in this life,
and bring us at last
to the joy of Your Kingdom.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
