Vocation and Spiritual Discernment
Thursday 5th November, 7.00–8.00pm at St Mary’s
How do we know what God is asking of us, and how can we distinguish his call from our own wishes, fears or uncertainties? This evening will explore vocation and spiritual discernment in a practical Catholic way — not only priesthood and religious life, but marriage, family life, work, service and the everyday decisions through which we seek to follow God faithfully. We will look at how God ordinarily guides us through prayer, Scripture, the Sacraments, wise counsel, our circumstances and the responsibilities already entrusted to us, and how to recognise the next faithful step. An open and practical evening for anyone asking: “Lord, what are you asking of me?” Everyone is very welcome.
