Priest: Brothers and sisters, knowing that we belong to the Lord in life and in death, and trusting in the mercy which He asks us to show to one another, let us bring before our heavenly Father the needs of the Church and of the world.
Reader: For the holy Catholic Church, that she may faithfully teach the truth revealed by Christ and form her children in wisdom, holiness and mercy.

For our Holy Father, Pope Leo, for Bishop Patrick, and for all bishops, priests and deacons, that they may teach with courage, govern with wisdom, and lead the people entrusted to them ever more deeply into the life of Christ.

On this Education Sunday, for all Catholic schools, colleges and universities, that they may be places where faith and reason flourish together, where Christ is truly at the centre, and where young people are formed not only for success in this world but for the fullness of life with God.
Lord, hear us.
For teachers, governors, chaplains and all who work in education, that they may recognise the dignity of every child and young person, and have the patience, wisdom and courage needed to hand on what is true and good.
Lord, hear us.
For parents, who are the first educators of their children, that God may strengthen them in their responsibility to teach the faith by their words, their example and the Christian life of the home.
Lord, hear us.
For all who carry anger, resentment or wounds from the past, that the mercy they themselves have received from God may give them the grace to forgive, and that broken relationships may be healed wherever possible.
Lord, hear us.
For those who are sick, lonely, anxious or burdened, especially children and young people facing difficulties at home or at school, that they may find generous support and know that their lives are precious in the sight of God.
Lord, hear us.
For our relatives, friends, teachers and benefactors who have died, and for all the faithful departed, that the Lord to whom we belong in life and in death may forgive their sins and bring them into the joy of Heaven.
Lord, hear us.
For a few moments, let us bring before God those people and intentions which are especially upon our hearts.

Priest: Merciful Father, you have forgiven us more than we could ever repay and have called us to live entirely for your Son. Hear the prayers we offer. Teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven,
