Priest: Brothers and sisters, trusting in God our Father, who has given us His beloved Son as the cornerstone of our salvation, let us offer our prayers for the needs of the Church and of the world.
Reader: For the holy Catholic Church, for Pope Leo, Bishop Patrick, and all bishops, priests and deacons: that they may remain faithful to Christ the cornerstone and lead God’s people to bear abundant fruit in holiness.
Lord, hear us.
For the nations of the world and for all who govern them: that they may uphold justice, defend the dignity of every person, and work faithfully for peace.
Lord, hear us.
For our parish, our families, and all who have grown distant from the practice of the faith: that they may be renewed in trust, strengthened in charity, and drawn more closely to Christ.
Lord, hear us.
For the sick, the bereaved, the lonely, and all who are troubled by anxiety or fear: that they may be strengthened in hope, comforted in their suffering, and guarded by the peace of God.
Lord, hear us.
For our deceased relatives, friends and loved ones, and for all the faithful departed: that they may be purified from every sin, received into the heavenly Kingdom, and rejoice for ever in the presence of God.
Lord, hear us.
For a few moments, let us commend to God the intentions we hold in the silence of our hearts.
