The Redemptorists are bringing the relics of St Gerard Majella to Leicester on Monday 9 November, as part of the celebrations marking the 300th anniversary of his birth.
There will be Mass at 12 noon at Blessed Sacrament Church and Mass at 6pm at St Peter’s. The relics will be available for prayer for an hour before each Mass, and there will be an opportunity to receive a blessing with the relics afterwards.
St Gerard is especially honoured as the patron saint of mothers, couples hoping to conceive, those looking for work, and those seeking the grace to make a good Confession.
This is a lovely opportunity to pray with the Church, ask St Gerard’s intercession, and entrust particular needs and intentions to God.
