Intercessions for All Saints, 1st November

Priest: Brothers and sisters, united with the great multitude of saints who stand before the throne of God, let us bring our prayers before our heavenly Father.

Reader:

For the holy Catholic Church, for the Pope, our Bishop, and all bishops, priests and deacons: that they may faithfully lead God’s people along the path of holiness and towards the joy of Heaven.
Lord, hear us.

For the nations of the world and those entrusted with authority: that they may seek justice and peace, protect the dignity of every human person, and serve especially those who are poor or vulnerable.
Lord, hear us.

For our parish community: that, strengthened by God’s grace and encouraged by the example and prayers of the saints, we may grow in mercy, purity of heart, faithfulness and love.
Lord, hear us.

For those who are sick, lonely, persecuted, grieving or burdened in any way: that they may know the consolation of Christ and the hope promised to those who remain faithful to Him.
Lord, hear us.

For our deceased relatives, friends and benefactors, and for all the faithful departed: that, cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb, they may join the great multitude of saints and behold God face to face.
Lord, hear us.

In a moment of silence, we bring before God the intentions we carry in our hearts.

Silence.

Let us ask Our Blessed Lady, Queen of All Saints, to join her prayers to ours as we say together:

Hail Mary…

Priest:

Almighty and eternal God,
You have given us in the saints
an example of holiness and the promise of eternal life.
Hear the prayers we make before You,
keep us faithful to Your Son,
and bring us at last to share
the joy of all Your saints in Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
